The Canadian Cabinet, much like that of the U.S., advises the prime minister on issues that fall under their area of control such as the Minister of Digital Government advising the prime minster on that area.
The Canadian Cabinet consists of Ministers that are chosen by the Prime Minister and then appointed by the Governor-General of Canada. By heading up the various government ministries, they are able to, along with the Prime Minister, better govern the Canadian people.
