On the other hand, an only child could be a little pampered because of all these parents concentrations: accustomed to having a lot of attention and to receiving all that he wants he could grow up in the wrong way. It's also true to say that for these reasons an only child could be repressed by his father and mother: it is a fact that frequently the first son has often less freedom than the others and probably for an only child is the same. What is more, is that an only child grows up a little more alone: he can't play with his brothers and sisters, he can't share the scoldings, and he can't know the relevance of the eternal brotherly love. In conclusion, being an only child has advantages and disadvantages but it cannot be denied that the main role is conducted by the parents: it's certainly relevant to the way only children are raised.
