Seeing that even those as weak as the 13 colonies (Americans) ‘s people could overtake Britain, the most powerful military in the world at the time, had given them hope and chance at a better life
Germany was motivated to participate in imperialism because they believed that there could be large amounts of economic gains in setting up colonies in other regions.
