Answer:

because most of the men were serving in the military for the war, the women were forced to take jobs they normally wouldn't have had the opportunity to be in. Explain Senator Stephen Douglas’ attempts at securing a bid for the Presidency
leva [86]

Stephen Douglass was a Democrat elected to the U.S. Senate in 1858. Douglas defeated Abraham Lincoln to obtain his Senate seat. He was a supporter of the idea of popular sovereignty, the belief that the settlers in newly admitted territories should determine whether the area would be slave or free. Douglass received the Democratic nomination for president in 1860. Douglass support of popular sovereignty led to the splintering of the Democratic Party into Northern and Southern factions. Northerners opposed secession while Southerners supported it. The splintering of the party led to their defeat and the election of the Republican Abraham Lincoln in 1860.

Why was the Ho Chi Minh Trail important to the North Vietnamese and the NLF?
alexgriva [62]

The H* Chi Minh Trail was important to the North Vietnamese and the NLF because the trail was a route to move goods to allies in South Vietnam.

The north Vietnamese was able to control this territory and set up their guirella army in H*Chhimin. Which led to their victory in the vietnam war.

The H* Chí Minh trail constituted a logistical system that ran from the Democratic Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Vietnam through the kingdoms of Laos and Cambodia.
