Based on paragraph 2 of this speech excerpt, what was President Kennedy's position on the expense of the space program? a. cutti
TiliK225 [7]

President Kennedy's position on the expense of the space program was that d. it would be well worth the high cost.

Explanation:

The general sentiment of the 1960s was extremely in favor of the space race and the Us was heavily invested in the exploration of the space even as the costs for doing so were soaring exorbitantly high.

The President understood this and so did not want to tinker with the hopes and aspiration of the common people who had come to love these efforts.

These efforts were also a matter of great national pride and thus seen well worth the cost they incurred on the people and the tax paying part of the country.

How the greek views of humanity differ from those of earlier civilizations
Mazyrski [523]

They had what one can call a more humanistic approach. Their gods were like normal humans, with all the passions and problems we have, also the Greeks believed in a good balance between body and mind, by dedicating themselves to physical activities and studies, under the umbrella term philosophy they studied grammar, mathematics, a rudimentar approach to the scientific method and philosophy itself.in some cities they had a democractic approach to solve problems, by gathering together to discuss the issues of the city.

On the other hand,  they still had lots of problems, for example they had slaves, who did not have the rights as free citizens did, constant warefare among the cities as they did not have a central government, democracy was attainable only for the free men (not women, although it is suggested that they helped influence their husbands' opinions) and they did not have a full bill of rights like modern societies have.

How does this issue/event interact with the social sciences lens and impact social issues?
jolli1 [7]

Social sciences help people understand how to interact with the social world—how to influence policy, develop networks, increase government accountability, and promote democracy.

These challenges, for many people around the world, are immediate, and their resolution can make a vast difference in people's live.Social science is a common term for the sciences that deal with human societies. There are no unambiguous boundaries to other fields of science, such as the humanities.

The special characteristic of the social science method is that, on the one hand, it uses an interpretive method which presupposes understanding and empathy in people's life situations. On the other hand, scientific methods are also used to uncover causal relationships that can be tested by other researchers at other times, but with the same result.
