Let x be the first odd number.
Second odd number will be x+2
Proof:
If 3 (was) the first odd number, 3+2 would be the next which is 5.
So,
(x) (x+2) = 99
xsquare + 2x = 99
xsquare +2x - 99 = 0
xsquare +11x - 9x -99 = 0
x(x +11) -9(x + 11) = 0
(x+11) (x-9) = 0
So the two odd numbers were 9 and 11
The volume of the cone is:
V=Sb×h/3=(pi×r²)×h/3, where Sb is the area of the base (circle of radius r) and h is the height.
V=pi×r²×h/3=pi×1.5²×5/3=11.775in³
The closest indicated value is the first one, 11.78in³
Add these together.
You get -15y=-45

Now plug in to first equation.
8x-8(3)=-16
8x-24=-16
