Considering the meaning of the word "humble" and applying accordingly to the different sentences, we can get a better synonym for what will be used in what sentence. Though the same words are used in both sentences, their intended meanings can well differ, according to the sentence and the proposed effect by the use of the word.

Accordingly, in the <u>first sentence</u>, the word "humble" will be replaced by the word "modest" for it presents the successful man's simple background.

And in the <u>second sentence</u><u>,</u> the word will be replaced by "down-to-earth" to give the impression of the actress as having a personality that is so humble, down-to-earth, simple.
