The word trip can refer to any instance of traveling from one place to another, no matter how long or short it is. The word journey, though, typically implies a long trip—one that’s at least several hours, and perhaps several months or even years.
The importance of a journey could be the little things you see that you might not normally see for example let's say you take a trip to Connecticut in the winter and you were originally from Florida now Florida doesn't snow at all so taking that trip to Connecticut would show you how snow is like and that is something you would remember from a trip like that.
Walk Two moons by Sharon Creech is about a girl named Sal for short and she moves with her father John to Ohio. He moves because he wants to be closer to a girl named Margret. Sal thinks her father likes her but its not true. The story is kinda complicated and later on, it includes Sal's gram (not gramps) that dies.
