Answer:

The answer is 54.

Step-by-step explanation:

Ok buddy

‣Remember that a right angle equals 90 degrees.

‣The numbers lie on a right angle.

‣So watchya gonna do is combine the like terms.

x + 2x + 2x = 5x

‣In an equation, that finna look like:

5x = 90

‣Solve that equation

\frac{5x}{5}  =  \frac{90}{5}  \\  \\ x  = 18

‣Therefore, the value of x is 18.

‣We trynna find 3x so plug it.

3x \\ 3(18) \\ 54

‣That fr is the answer, 54.

PLEASE HELP!
emmainna [20.7K]

Use the given recursion and starting value of x_0 = 2.4 to find x_1 :

x_1 = \dfrac{x_0 + \frac6{x_0}}2 = \dfrac{2.4 + \frac{6}{2.4}}2 = 2.45

Do the same for x_2 and x_3 :

x_2 = \dfrac{x_1 + \frac6{x_1}}2 = \dfrac{2.45 + \frac6{2.45}}2 \approx 2.44949

x_3 = \dfrac{x_2+\frac6{x_2}}2 \approx \dfrac{2.44949 + \frac6{2.44949}}2 \approx \boxed{2.44949}

(That's not a mistake. This just tells you that the 2nd and 3rd iterates are very close together and have at least the same first 5 digits after the decimal.)

nikklg [1K]
For this one a simple way that you can think of it is that 1 pound of banana is equivalent to 100, 3/4 pounds of banana is 75, 1/2 pounds of banana is 50, etc.

3 1/2 pounds of banana = 350

3/4 pounds of banana = 75

If i want to find out how many loafs of banana bread I can make if ONE loaf requires 3/4 pounds of banana, and i have 3 1/2 pounds of banana then I divide:

350 / 75 = 4.66

So, with 3 1/2 pounds of bananas you can successfully create 4 loafs of banana bread. the remaining .66 is not enough banana to make another loaf.
