Answer:

The selected stanza is part of the poem "Exile song" created by a Brazilian poet named Gonçalvez Dias.

<em>"My land has palm trees </em>

<em>Where the thrush sings. </em>

<em>The birds that sing here </em>

<em>Do not sing as they do there."</em>

<em />

Explanation:

The stanza shown above shows how the speaker exalts and misses his homeland, showing how the place where he is at the moment does not compare with his homeland, as it lacks beauty, poetry and musicality. This is evident when he uses the metaphor to show how the birds in his homeland are more musical and admirable, as well as the local vegetation.

This stanza gives me a feeling of belonging, a welcome that only my homeland can provide, which reflects a feeling of warmth and security. However, I also feel a sense of longing and sadness, which is what we feel in exile, that is, what we feel when we cannot be where we most want to be.

How was net neutrality caused and why is it an issue?
Rainbow [258]

Answer:

In 2005, the FCC adopted network neutrality principles "to preserve and promote the vibrant and open character of the Internet as the telecommunications marketplace enters the broadband age." Between 2005 and 2012, five attempts to pass bills in Congress containing net neutrality provisions failed. Opponents of net neutrality, which include ISPs, and telecom equipment manufacturers, assert that net neutrality requirements would reduce their incentive to build out the Internet, reduces competition in the marketplace, and may raise their operating costs which they would have to pass along to their users.

Detining Skills
bija089 [108]

Answer: an ability a person has created through learning and experience.

Explanation:

A skill is an ability to use the acquired knowledge in execution or performance. As we gain experience and learn, our skills upgrade.

There are different types of skills. <em>Social skills</em>, for example, are needed in order to communicate effectively with other people. <em>Soft skills</em> encompass social skills, interpersonal skills, our character traits, opinions, etc. Soft skills are usually mentioned in resumes and job offers (for instance - ability to work under pressure, patience, flexibility, etc). <em>Hard skills</em>, on the other hand, are related to a particular situation. They differ from soft skills in that they can be tested and measured.
