Help me find the figure , area formula and graph the dots and find the area
Advocard [28]

Answer:

Looking at the given points we know that it is going to be a triangle because it only have 3 points.  Therefore the figure is a triangle and the area formula would be A=\frac{1}{2}*b*h.

You can look at the attached graph and what we see is that our height of the triangle is from y=-3 to y=4 which means that our height is 7 units high.  We can also see that our base starts at x=-4 and ends at x=4 making us have a base of 8 units.

<u>We then plug in the values and solve</u>

A = \frac{1}{2}*7\ units * 8\ units

A = \frac{1}{2}*56\ units^2

A = 28\ units^2

Therefore, the area of our triangle is 28\ units^2

Hope this helps!  Let me know if you have any questions

A seamstress needs to cut 15 inches pieces of ribbon from a roll of ribbon that is 9 feet in length what is the greatest number
Natali [406]

Answer: 36

Step-by-step explanation:

One roll is of length = 9 feet

1 foot = 12 inches

9 feet = 12 *9 = 108 inches

Since there are 5 rolls

So, total length of 5 rolls = 108 * 5 = 540 inches

Since we are given that A seamstress needs to cut 15-inch pieces of ribbon from a roll of ribbon that is 9 feet in length.

We are supposed to find . What is the greatest number of 15-inch pieces the seamstress can cut from 5 of these rolls of ribbon

So, number of 15-inch pieces the seamstress can cut from 5 of these rolls of ribbon:

Hence the greatest number of 15-inch pieces the seamstress can cut from 5 of these rolls of ribbon is 36
