Answer:

y =  \frac{ - 3}{2} x + 16

Step-by-step explanation:

They give us the slope so this makes it a lot easier.

Slope intercept formula is

y=mx+b

(m) is slope

(b) is y intercept

we can apply our slope into the formula

y=-3/2x+b

Now we can replace (y) with the (y) from the ordered pair they gave us (4, 10), and replace the (x) with the (x) from the ordered pair they gave us

(4, 10)

10=-3/2(4)+b

Now solve

10=-6+b

Add 6 to each side

16=b

Now we we put both our slope and intercept into the formula.

y =  \frac{ - 3}{2} x + 16

What is £200 increased by 15%
Genrish500 [490]

Answer:

In order to find the answer, you must first find 15% of £200.

What I usually do, is make a small chart with 200 equaling 100%, and an unknown number being equal to 15%. Therefore it would look something like this:

200             100

  ?                15

Now, multiply 200 by whatever number is diagonally across to it, meaning the number 15.

200*15=3000

Next, divide the product by whatever is across from 200, which means 100.

3000/100=30

15% of 200 is 30

Now add 30 to original amount, which was £200, and you get your answer:

200+30=230

Your total is £230
