I'm not entirely sure, but I do know that a war did happen before this, the French and Indian War), but Canada wasn't involved in it. Supposedly France ceded Canada over to England through the Treaty of Paris, although which one I'm not sure. I do know that the War of 1812 happened right before this too though, and Canada was involved in that, so if I had to choose an answer it would be B.
