Answer:

So the next time they will leave together is 4:24 pm

Step-by-step explanation:

Since both the buses left at 4 pm and red line bus leaves every 6minutes and blue line bus leaves every 8 minutes they next time they leave together can be found by taking the L.C. M of 6 and 8.

The L.C. M is found by multiplying all the factors and chosing one which common in both numbers.

Factors of 6 = 2<u>*3</u>

Factors of 8= 2<u>*2*2</u>

In these numbers 2 is common in both.The rest of the numbers( 2*2*3 )are multiplied with the the common 2 to get the L.C.M

L.C.M= 2*2*2*3= 24 minutes

So the next time they will leave together is 4:24 pm

Choose yes or no to tell if each pair of expressions is equivalent. YES OR NO
AnnyKZ [126]
<h3>Answer:</h3>
  1. no
  2. yes
  3. no
  4. yes
  5. yes
<h3>Explanation:</h3>

The distributive property is useful both for collecting terms and for eliminating parentheses.

1. 3x +1/4 -x +1 1/2 = x(3 -1) +(1/4 +1 2/4) = 2x +1 3/4 ≠ 4x +1 3/4 (no)

2. 2(3x+1) = 2·3x + 2·1 = 6x +2 = 2 +6x (yes)

3. 3(x+1) -(1+x) = (x+1)(3 -1) = 2(x+1) = 2x +2 ≠ 2x +3 (no)

4. 4(x+1)-x-4 = 4x +4 -x -4 = x(4-1) +(4-4) = 3x +0 = 3x (yes)

5. 5.5 +2.1x +3.8x -4.1 = x(2.1 +3.8) +(5.5 -4.1) = 5.9x +1.4 = 1.4 +5.9x (yes)

Nat2105 [25]

Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation: In total, Trae walked 4 meters north and 3 meters east to get from point $A$ to point $B$. Since 3-4-5 is a Pythagorean triple, the length of $\overline{AB} = \boxed 5$.

Convert 7x + 3y = −1 to slope-intercept form.
maksim [4K]
Hi there!

Let's solve this problem step by step!

7x + 3y =  - 1
To convert this formula to slope-intercept form, we must isolate y.

First bring 7x to the left by subtracting 7x from both sides of the equation.
3y =  - 7x - 1

Finally we need to divide both sides of the equation by 3.
\frac{3y}{3}  =  \frac{ - 7x - 1}{3}

Do some simple algebra and we find:
y =  -  \frac{7}{3} x -  \frac{1}{3}   \\ y =  - 2 \frac{1}{3} x -  \frac{1}{3}
~ Hope this helps you!
