1). The trade resulted in sharing of technologies, goods, ideas, but also religion. ... This led to spreading of the Christianity and Islam the most, and they managed to get to new territories gradually by propagating their religions in regions where it was not yet accepted or known. Religious belief may influence trade in two ways. First, a shared religious belief may enhance trust and therefore reduce transaction costs between trading partners.

2).  Much of the art in Europe during the Middle Ages was religious art with Catholic subjects and themes. The different types of art included painting, sculpture, metal work, engraving, stained glass windows, and manuscripts.The works that remain in large numbers include sculpture, illuminated manuscripts, stained glass, metalwork, and mosaics, all of which have had a higher survival rate than fresco wall-paintings and works in precious metals or textiles such as tapestries.

3) The term dark ages is no longer in use because of the negative feedback it was given so we call it the middle Ages instead and also more was known from the early middle ages so dark ages is okay for describing the middle ages. The idea of the “Dark Ages” came from later scholars who were heavily biased toward ancient Rome. ... The negative view of the so-called “Dark Ages”
