Checking and scrolling through social media has become an increasingly popular activity over the last decade. Although the majority of peoples’ use of social media is non-problematic, there is a small percentage of users that become addicted to social networking sites and engage in excessive or compulsive use. In fact, psychologists estimate that as many as 5 to 10% of Americans meet the criteria for social media addiction today. I was still feeling the nut in my pocket while my parents talked excitedly about the memories they had with this artifact. I was having a great time, because I loved listening to their memories about the trees and the fruits they promoted. I really wanted to know what I could do with the nut, it looked so hard and difficult to open, but it had an interesting appearance and it aroused my curiosity.
My father said that it was possible to open the nut with a certain effort and that the content tasted good, but that the nut was too small and that I should keep it as a reminder of that day and show it to my children in the future, as proof of what I had observed today.
I thought this was a good idea and went to my room to find a good place for the nut.
