Jacksonian Era was an era marked with resolutions for common man. This era is also known as an 'Era of Common Man'. The era lasted roughly from 1820 to 1845.

As the name refers, an <em>era of common man, </em>President Andrew Jackson in his service worked for common man. Jackson perceived that America became corrupted by <em>special privilieges </em>lended by policies of the Second Bank of the United States.

Jackson and his Democratic Party overcame the sectional differences in the government by bringing economic reformations and advancing transportation. The 'Transportation Revolution', also known as the <em>Market Revolution, </em>heralded in the development of industry in North America and plantation in South. Development in new forms of banking and credit systems also contributed into economic growth. In this way, Jacksonian Era overcame sectional differences.
