A long, narrative poem is an epic poem, usually about heroic acts and events that are important to the culture of the poet.
Answer: you don’t have to rhyme, remember that. Prose is just as valid as rhyming poetry. I always write what I’m trying to convey and THEN use synonyms to make it rhyme if it needs to.
