Imagine that "XPatriot" is a U.S.-based company that is expanding operations in South America. When determining which employees
podryga [215]

Answer: B. Ethnicity, with preference given to Hispanic candidates.

Explanation:

During the selection of employees for a particular job role, it is legal to assess them using certain tests. These tests must, however, be job-related and must not discriminate against protected groups. Protected groups include race, gender, age, disability, religion, skin color, etc.

In the case of 'XPatriot', all the criteria mentioned before the selection of employees who are to move to South America are all job-related except choosing on the basis of Ethnicity. This is because an employee may not be Hispanic but could meet the other more important criteria. Not choosing him would amount to some level of discrimination.

Let’s use the model of the supply and demand for bank reserves to explain how the Federal Reserve can change aggregate demand in
nikdorinn [45]

Answer:

A) To cut the interest rate from 2% to 1.5%, the Federal Reserve needs to increase the money supply. The Open Market Committee will have to sell US Treasury security bonds in order to increase the money supply. This in turn will increase commercial bank's reserves, who in turn, will lower their interest rates in other to get rid of excess reserves.

B) Banks will lend more money because they now have excess reserves. It will increase the nation's money supply because banks create money when they make loans.

C) This will typically increase aggregate demand because a lower interest rate and cheaper loans result in a higher demand for financial securities. Firms will take more loans, they will use this loans for investments, and this investments will in turn increase production. Increased production means a higher supply of goods and services at a better price, and consumers will take advantage of it.

Nataly_w [17]

Explanation:

Companies could improve and implement differentiated services for customers.

What could probably happen is that tour companies offer a personalized service, faster and cheaper with the possibility of purchasing a skycar and jet, as hotel guests usually make a tour itinerary that requires high mobility costs, therefore offering this differentiated and cheaper service directly at the establishment would mean a focused differentiation strategy that would add several benefits, such as increased profitability and customer loyalty.
