<u>Present:</u> I am working out today and I can't wait to go in the gym.

This sentence is happening in the present. The person is saying that he is working out and he can't wait to go there. Both verbs are written in present.

<u>Past:</u> I was working out yesterday and it was so cold in the gym.

This sentence happened in past. The person was doing something yesterday and he is describing the situation.

<u>Future: </u> I will work out tomorrow and I will bring my sister with me.

The person is saying what he will be doing the next day, in the future.
