then because a triangles angles add up to equal 180 we do

180=x+54+x+54+x and solve for x

step 1 combine like terms x+x+x=3x 54+54=108

180=3x+108

step 2 subtract each side by 108

3x=72

step 3 divide each side by 3

x=24
