Answer:

The listening style chosen is the person-oriented style.

Explanation:

The person-oriented listening style is one where an individual is interested in what the speaker of a message has to say. In this case, the listener does not make judgments or analyze technical concepts, but is interested in knowing what the speaker is feeling and what he thinks about a certain situation.

This is the most appropriate style to use when a friend is telling you about a problem, as it allows the listener to understand what is going on, how it affects the friend and how he can help him.

Where do Victor and Henry travel for a fortnight prior to Victor returning home? and Why was Victor’s return home postponed from
AlexFokin [52]

Answer and Explanation:

They travel together because they are very close friends who have known each other for many years and Henry's father believes that it is a good idea for them to spend time together as a student and become more cultured, in addition to being distracted.

Victos' return was postponed because he had a very high fever, became very ill and had to recover to endure the trip back to Geneva. Vitor only returns when he is completely recovered, but he managed to spend a good time while he was away.

And after seeing, once again, my mother's disappointed face, something inside me began to die.

The answer to this question is possibly: B. To show that the narrator is trying to be smarter.  Looking back at the sentence, I can use context clues.  I can specifically look at where the sentence said, "Something inside me began to die."  That is suggesting that the narrator is influenced by her mother's face to allow something to die within her.  In other words, she realizes that she needs to change into a new, better person.  Hope that helps.
