The infinitive verb to skate is translated into Spanish as patinar. Thus, in Spanish, patino is the correct conjugation of the verb patinar in the Present Simple Indicative of the first person singular yo. In that respect the Present Simple Indicative is used in Spanish to describe actions that occur at the moment of speaking, as well as habitual actions in the present and, sometimes, actions that will happen in the future.
