What was the result of “Bleeding Kansas”?
Ad libitum [116K]

Answer:

Popular sovereignty was an unworkable solution for the territories of Kansas and Nebraska.

Explanation:

The Kansas-Nebraska Act enacted by Congress in 1854. It granted popular sovereignty to the people in the Kansas and Nebraska territories, letting them decide whether they'd allow slavery. In essence, this made the Kansas-Nebraska act a repeal of the Missouri Compromise of 1820, which had said there would be no slavery north of latitude 36°30´ except for Missouri.

After the passage of the Kansas-Nebraska Act, pro-slavery and anti-slavery settlers rushed into Kansas to try to sway the outcome of the issue, and violence between the two sides occurred. The term "bleeding Kansas" was used because of the bloodshed that occurred in this situation. The move to make slavery a popular sovereignty matter proved to be unworkable and hurtful.

After the end of the Cold War, many nations in Africa faced civil war or ______.
Mnenie [13.5K]

1. genocides.

Explanation:

After the end of the Cold War many African countries were affected badly. This was due to the influence that the Soviets had in lot of them. Once they lost their ally and supporter, lot of these countries got in even worse conditions and the dictators made some terrible decisions that made a negative lasting impact.

Because of the terrible conditions in these countries the people were not satisfied so they revolted. Numerous organizations formed, some separatist, some terrorist, some in order to overthrow the government, so the situation escalated quickly. Also, the dictators used the minority groups in order to blame them for all troubles thought hey had nothing to do with it. The end results were lot of civil wars and in several occasions even genocides.

2. Jewish people.

Explanation:

The Islamists have shown on numerous occasions that they are anything but tolerant when it comes to other religious groups. This can easily be seen in that they propagate that the other groups of people are lesser beings or don't even deserve to live. They support slavery of other religious groups, strip them of all rights, and often terrorize them without any reason for such actions.

The group that is most commonly blamed for ''contaminating'' the Muslim world are the Jewish people. The Islamists are not fond of the Jewish people at all and tend to use them as an excuse for everything that is not right in their societies. This resulted in persecution, open attacks, and open spread of hatred toward this group of people.
