Eventually, they entered an on-again, off-again relationship with the Spanish, sometimes warring and attacking, other times <em>allying with the Spanish</em> against the Comanches and other enemies. Those peace efforts with the Spanish resulted in the establishment of Spanish missions.

After becoming state many new initiatives were passed like Oklahoma Initiative 10 for literacy test required as a qualification for voting, while Oklahoma Initiative 11 rejected as it was demanding for liquor sales to be allowed. These all-new initiatives demanded huge financial support which was catered by the federal government.
