The arc length (s) is given in terms of the radius (r) and central angle (θ) by
  s = r*θ . . . . . . . where θ is in radians

For your arc, the length is
  s = (15 ft)*(π/4) ≈ 11.78 ft

_____
45° can be converted to radians by multiplying by π/180°.
  45° * (π/180°) = π*(45/180) = π/4 . . . . radians

How can you use a formula for one measurement to write a formula for a different measurement?
Dmitrij [34]

Answer:

Write the formula for one measurement, then solve the formula for the different measurement you want to find and use this new formula to find that measurement.

Step-by-step explanation:

 We can understand this through an example.

If we need to find the lenght of a rectangle whose width is 4 feet and whose perimeter is 28 feet, we can use a formula for one measurement to write a formula for a different measurement:

 - We need to write the formula for the perimeter of a rectangle:

P=2l+2w

Where "l" is the lenght and "w" is the width.

- Since we know the width and the perimeter of the rectangle and we need to find the lenght, we can solve for "l":

P=2l+2w\\\\P-2w=2l\\\\l=\frac{P-2w}{2}

Now we get a new formula for calculate a differente measurement (the lenght of the rectangle).

- Substituting values, we get:

l=\frac{28ft-2(4ft)}{2}=10\ ft

Shirts were sold in 3 sizes-small,meduim and large.1/3of the shirt are small sized.1/3 of the fraction are large sized.What is t
Vlada [557]

The fraction of medium sized shirt is \frac{1}{3}.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

\frac{1}{3} of the shirts are small sized.

\frac{1}{3} of the shirts are large sized.

To find the fraction of medium sized.

Let us take total number of shirt = 1

Number of small sized shirt =c

Number of large sized shirt = \frac{1}{3}

So,

Total number of large and small sized shirt = \frac{1}{3} +\frac{1}{3}

=  \frac{2}{3}

Hence,

Number of medium sized shirt = 1-\frac{2}{3}

= \frac{1}{3}

it would depend how much you actually used, but you would take the amount you used  and divide it by the total amount of yarn. so if the yarn was 4m long and you used 2m then it would be 2/4 which is 0.5 which is also 50%, so half the yarn was used.

Please I need help with this question!!
nalin [4]

[15 + 1/2 ] - [ 2 + 3/4 ] - [6 + 2/3 ]......convertng these to improper fractions, we have

[31 /2 ] - [11 / 4 ] - [ 20 / 3 ] getting a common denominator (12), we have

[186 / 12] - [33 / 12 ] - [ 80 / 12 ] = 73 / 12 inches = about 6.0833 inches left
