I would expect to suffer negative consequences if I didn't study for a test. Not only you hindering the ability to learn, but it cause problems later. Test are there to not only flex your minds, but it demonstrates your ability to understand the content. If you don't understand the content because you didn't study, you fall behind. When you fall behind, it is hard to catch up. If you don't catch up, it can affect the ability to solve real world problems. When you are unable to solve real world problems whether it's with your finances or on the job, it causes bigger problems.
