Thornton says that Buck could probably start one thousand pounds and walk one hundred yards. Matthewson says he will bet one thousand dollars that Buck can’t do it. Thornton is actually not sure Buck can do it, although he believes Buck can carry a heavy load, he is still not sure. Thornton also does not have one thousand dollars, but O’Brien is willing to bet money on Buck.
