Answer:

1 I talked to him on Monday. --> CAN'T CHANGE

2 I hated school when I was a teenager. --> I used to hate school when I was a teenager.

3 My parents didn't eat out very often. --> My parents didn't use to eat out very often.

4 We visited our grandmother every weekend. --> We used to visit our grandmother every weekend.

5 I went to the cinema with Mark yesterday. --> CAN'T CHANGE

6 Did you watch a lot of TV when you were a child? --> Did you use to watch a lot of TV when you were a child?

Explanation:

First, let's understand why we can't change numbers 1 and 5. "Used to" can be employed to refer to habitual actions in the past, that is, actions that happened frequently. In numbers 1 and 5, we are talking about a single action that happened at a specific time in the past, not about actions that happened often. Therefore, "used to" is not applicable to them.

All the other sentences are speaking of actions that happened often during a period of time in the past. If the sentence is affirmative, all we need to do is add "used to" before the main verb in its base form. If the sentence is negative, we use "didn't use to" before the main verb. Interrogative sentences place the auxiliary "did" before the subject, followed by "use to" and the main verb. Note that, in the negative and interrogative forms, it's "use", not "used".

Is this a example of logos?
quester [9]

Answer: no, it’s not a logo because there is no answer to this since the question itself is wrong

Explanation: I watch a lot of anime and there’s thing called the English dub which I prefer and some ppl like to criticize it because “it’s trash” when it’s better than the sub! Dragon ball is a trash anime, it’s not good there are way better anime that you should watch instead like Attack on Titan which is a total masterpiece. It started out dark, sad, and was influenced by Game of Thrones but after season 2 it became something which can only be done by Attack on Titan. You do not need to know Japanese to understand it but what you do need is a little some called a “brain” which a lot of people don’t have. If you do have one you’ll love the complex and deep story with the darkest and meaningful ideas like politics, oppression, racism, wars, history, references to historical irl events like the holocaust, genocide, wars. I could go one All day about all the complex things in the story but it won’t let me. Bottom line watch Attack on Titan which has realistic concepts shown in the most realistic way in a fictional story with a fictional world unlike dragon ball where they are just staring at each other and screaming like apes. Thank You

A student is writing a paper about why it's worth the expense of upgrading exercise facilities for college students who aren't o
MariettaO [177]

Answer:

Paragraph 3.

Explanation:

If we want to persuade the college officials to permit themselves the cost of upgrading exercise facilities for non-athletes, we must think of a way to remunerate their effort, as students who are not on any team do not bring revenue.

And it is exactly the objective of the third paragraph. It is true that the new upgraded facilities benefit the budget in no way, yet there is a possibility of a profit: a snack bar should be attached to the facility. That way students who use the facility will eventually start using the snack bar, too.
