Contact cultures refer to cultures in which people tend to talk to each other with a close proximity of space, body contact such as handshakes and kissing on the cheek as greetings, and eye contact to communicate. As a result, people from non contact or low contact cultures may feel that their personal space, which separates individuals from others, is being invaded.
