<u>What literary device is " shield- bosses"?</u>

<em>A. Kenning.</em>

Originally present in Anglo-Saxon and Norse poetry, a <u>kenning</u> is a metaphor composed of two words, creating a single noun or phrase which attempts to represent a <u>compressed idea or object</u>.

<em>Beowulf</em> has many examples of kennings such as: <em>"battle-sweat" </em>or <em>"light-of-battle". </em>

What type of breakfast offers black pudding, mushroom and tomato or baked beans?
Gennadij [26K]

The answer to this is A. "English breakfast." I actually knew this from the top of my mind, but if you want to double check, go search the English breakfast. (I wouldn't suggest trying this meal though. Search the ingredients for black pudding, and you'll never want to try it. Let me put it that way.)

This breakfast is offered in Britain. Mainly England, but it can also be eaten in Scotland and perhaps, Ireland.
