Explanation:

My mother ,a beautiful lady used to say ,"don't go near the water until you can swim".On sunny day I decided to paddle in the clear icy ;blue ocean and was surprised to feel draingly;bravely ;uncharacteristically; disobedient. I removed my shirt, trousers ,socks and my singlet and ran into the water. Through my mind ran the thought ,"you're mad" . Hugh for even thinking of this. The tide which was particularly strong ,pulled me over rapidly ,disastrously. Perhaps if I had my mother advice I would not have been in such a perilous, difficult situation.

My mother, who is a beautiful lady, used to say,"Don't go near the water until you can swim." One sunny day, I decided to paddle in the clear icy blue ocean and was surprised to feel uncharacteristically disobedient. I removed my shirt, trousers, socks, and my singlet, and ran into the water. Through my mind ran the thought, "You're mad, Hugh, for even thinking of this." The tide, which was particularly strong pulled me over, disastrously. Perhaps, if I had heeded my mother advice, I would not have been in such a perilous, difficult situation.

How does the term prodigy apply to waverly? To her mother?
Oxana [17]
The word prodigy applies to Waverly due to her being especially good at chess, or whatever it was she does. Her mother's point of view on prodigy is being the best she can be, and the term applies to her mother by not being quite as smart as her daughter.
