The impact of the black panthers is that:
- it inspired people of colour to challenge police authority and brutality
- it implied that black people did have a voice and did have the ability to stand up for themselves
- it ignited change in the way society viewed people of colour
- it mad other people of colour feel proud of who they are and their nationality
The aim of bantustan was to ensure segregation worked as much as possible.
These were territory set aside for black inhabitants of South Africa and Namibia as part of the policy of apartheid. It involved concentrating the members of designated ethnic groups, thus
making each of those territories ethnically homogeneous.
