Geography

Cairo is fan-shaped, narrowest in the south, where the river valley is wedged between desert escarpments, and widest in the north, where the valley blends into the delta. Over the centuries the city expanded westward, as a receding river channel left land flood-free. Lining the banks of the Nile River, Cairo is a fusion of ancient. Churches are built atop Roman ruins and skyscrapers rise behind medieval monuments. Egypt's capital is best known for preserving the last of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, but the city contains infinite treasures beyond the Pyramids of Giza.

Push factors are the low wages, high inflation rate, and high population density in Egypt; pull factors are higher wages. It is predicted that an increase in income from destination countries has a significant positive impact on the migration rate.

Which region has an abundance of coal, timber, and rich farmland but must
Ira Lisetskai [31]

Answer: C. Region B

Explanation:

Region B is the North American continent which includes the United States. Land here is quite fertile and resources are plentiful as the continent boasts of vast farmlands, timber and an abundance of coal.

The people of this continent therefore need not import a lot of things. They do however have to import oil. Even though there are rich oil deposits present, these are sometimes quite expensive to extract which is why the region needs to import some of the oil that its people need.
