Precipitation that occurs in the low latitudes is also known as-
mario62 [17]

Answer:

Convectional precipitation

Explanation:

Convectional precipitation is a type of precipitation that occurs in the low latitudes.

The low latitudes are typically the tropical belt of the world which straddles the equator.

 • During convectional precipitation, high amount of solar insolation rapidly heats the ground evaporating surface water to form rain clouds.

Orographic precipitation occurs in high altitude regions. The peaks causes the formation of rain clouds which leads to a mountain have a windward and leeward sides.

Frontal precipitation occurs at the point of convergence of two air masses, one warm and the other cold.

So, convectional precipitation is the appropriate choice here.

How do we know that earth's magnetic field has undergone reversals in the past?
slega [8]
We know that the poles had changed positions in the past, because of the arrangement of the crystals in the rocks made out of metal. The crystals of the metals act like the needle of the compass when the rock is cooling off and forming, they turn into the direction of the strongest magnetic field on the Earth, which is the North Pole. So by studying the rocks that are made out of metals and see the crystals arrangement and also estimate the age of the rocks, the scientist can precisely tell how has the North Pole been moving throughout time.

What natural hazards are difficult for humans to adapt to? Why?
Vilka [71]

Natural Hazards can be described as dangerous occurrences that are a threat to human survival. These can include unforeseen sudden events such as earthquakes, volcanoes, Tsunamis and tornadoes. This can also include some slow-moving disasters e.g. droughts, climate change and even diseases.

All these events are difficult for humans to adapt to. Human bodies have not gone through an evolutionary process where we can coupe with such disasters.

In modern countries, some precautions have been developed e.g. dams to store water in times of drought or earth-quake proof buildings seen in Japan.

Generally, humans in poorer countries are more susceptible to natural hazards due to poor infrastructure.

Explain why/how are some of the deepest parts of the ocean near land or near islands, whereas some of the shallowest parts of th
Len [333]

Explanation:

The unevenness on the surface of the planet Earth is due to subduction ,

subduction near the land and eruption of magma at the middle of the Atlantic ocean. In the middle of the Atlantic, ocean lava is coming from the deeper part of the earth and erupts on the surface. The place where lava erupts In Atlantic ocean is also known as a Mid-ocean ridge.

Due to the eruption, huge mountains of lava will form, after cooling of lava followed solidification. Because of the mountain formation, the relative sea depth decrease at the center. Now if we carefully analyze the situation we come to the conclusion that due to lava eruption at mid-ocean ridges (MOR) or at the center of the ocean a new crust is forming.

Now if the new crust is forming at MOR it means the older crust also need to be disposed off, since we have fix space on the surface to accommodate crust. Now to dispose older crust the subduction is also going near the land When one plate subducting beneath the other plate, space is created which we called a trench.

Trenches are a deeper part of the world. So far the deepest part of the earth is Marina Trench .
