Answer:

Both use an appeal to logos by providing a reason to support her purpose.

Explanation:

Queen Elizabeth, I had been the monarch of the British throne without any husband or even a legitimate heir to succeed her to the throne. Not only that, she was a woman and these issues would crop up as a national security question for her enemies or even subjects.

But in both speeches, she made an appeal to logic by asserting her capability to be not only the leader of the kingdom but also as a woman and without a husband. She presents herself as a strong leader and fully aware and capable of leading the nation even during wars. In her response to the marriage issue, she replied,<em> "I will never in that matter conclude anything that shall be prejudicial to the realm, for the weal, good and safety whereof I will never shun to spend my life." </em>And in the speech to the Tilbury troops, she declared, <em>"I know I have the body of a weak and feeble woman, but I have the heart and stomach of a king, and of a king of England too."</em>

Thus, the correct answer is the first option.

For numbers 1-5, choose the best way to punctuate the pause
elena-s [515]

Answer:

A. The ball slowly rolled around the  rim and finally, dropped through  the hoop.

Explanation:

Punctuation is the use of the grammatical signs to indicate correct sentence construction. These marks make the sentence right, indicating how the sentence is to be read or taken. The signs may be of the comma, full-stop, question mark, or an exclamation mark, among others.

From the given options, the nest sentence that punctuates it correctly for a pause is the first option. The sentence reads <em>"The ball slowly rolled around the  rim and finally, dropped through  the hoop."</em>, putting the pause (comma) after finally, where the change in the sentence is made.

The other options' use of the pause in the sentence, (sentence B- comma after rolled and rim), (sentence C uses ..... after rolled) while (sentence D used it after rim) are all wrong. "The ball rolled around the rim" is a free flow sentence with no need for a pause, while there is also no need for a pause after "rim".

Thus, the correct answer is option A.
