Answer:

African Americans engaged in sit-ins at whites-only cafes. They peacefully sat down at counters where they were refused service. College students were the main participants. It gained the Civil Rights Movement massive amounts of publicity due to the outrage that took over the white community. A renowned protest called the Greensboro sit-ins is well-known in American history and gained the movement substantial amounts of recognition. Boycotts were used by African Americans to halt the income of several racist businesses by refusing to purchase or use goods from that particular establishment. One famous boycott was the Montgomery Bus Boycott, which was in response to the famous Rosa Parks arrest. African Americans no longer rode the bus, which caused detrimental financial impact on public transportation systems' income.

Poc, mainly black, used sit ins at cafes that they were refused service at.
Whites would attack, spit at, dump coffee on poc simply sitting there and it would get out in television.
Made more white people see an issue. Spread the word.

Boycotts are incredibly helpful. Bus boycott after Rosa parks. Poc used the busses more than whites. After Rosa parks blacks refused to ride the busses. Put a dent in the busses money.

Answer: D. In 2005, It was estimated that 2500 public schools and 57 colleges or universities in the U.S. had a Native American logo,  mascot, or nickname.

Explanation:

For decades sports teams in the US including at public high schools and colleges have used Native American likeness in their logos, mascots and/or nicknames.

Native American Civil rights movements however, criticize this as they say that it propagates negative stereotypes against Native Americans and as such have started lobbying these organizations which were estimated to be 2,500  public schools and 57 colleges in 2005, to remove Native American likeness from their logos, mascots and otherwise.
