In the tropical African region, the French were the first to built railways. The construction of railways was part of the French colonization in Africa. By establishing railways, it helped in transporting raw materials to the ports for export in France. Rubber was one of the natural product which was exported. Railways also assisted in expanding territories with the help of the military to extend French imperialism.
The Privileges and Immunities clause is addressed in the 14th amendment of the Constitution, which posits that no State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States.
