Answer: OK SO There are some unicellular organisms that carry out both heterotrophic and autotrophic nutrition, meaning they are mixotrophic. Such is the case of euglena gracilis (below), which carries out photosynthesis in its chloroplasts as well as also feeding on detritus or smaller organisms by endocytosis. The pitcher plant has both autotrophic and heterotrophic mode of nutrition. The pitcher plant performs photosynthesis which makes it an autotrophic plant but it has also a partial heterotrophic mode of nutrition because pitcher plant grows on nitrogen deficient soil.

hope this helps

In an experiment, the membrane potential of a neuron is hyperpolarized to –120 mV. When an inhibitory neurotransmitter is applie
denis-greek [22]

Answer:

The inhibitory transmitter activates ligand-gated potassium channels

Explanation:

When a cell is in hyperpolarized state, the potassium gated channels are taken longer time to close up, Therefore, more K+ leaks out of the axoplasm  to the exterior. Therefore the cell appears to continue in the resting state, with more negative value of the cell potential of (-120 mV) and this called hyperpolarization.

However, with the addition of  inhibitory transmitter, the ligand-gated potassium channels are activated,Theses channels closes up.Then sodium  gated channels, which  were initially in refractive state reopens, sodium ions diffuses inwards for depolarization, and the neuron returns to depolarized state.

What protein (purine)-rich food should be limited to prevent a reoccurrence of uric acid kidney stones? what protein (purine)-ri
Nataliya [291]

Answer:

Eggs

Explanation:

Uric acid stones are one of the four types of kidney stones which are formed due to the high amount of uric acid in the human body.

When the concentration of the uric acid increases in the urine due to which urine becomes acidic, the uric acid gets stored in the urinary pathway in the form of stones.

To remove the uric acid kidney-stones, the food rich in purines must be avoided like meat, eggs and green vegetables like mustard, spinach, and whole grains are suggested.

Thus, the egg is the correct answer.
