<em>The statement that best describes the reign of Queen Victoria is "She embraced a strict code of morals and manners that came to embody the values of the time period." </em>

Queen Victoria (1819-1901) was the Queen of Victoria from 1881 to 1901. During his time as queen she imposed a series of moral values that favored chastity, the good manners, a firm code of conduct in society, and the severe punishment of crimes. During that time, citizens of the United Kingdom lived under a heavy influence of the Anglican church that not only was dedicated to religious services but has an enormous presence in education, and in politics.

In 1804, enslaved Africans and other laborers on Saint Domingue won independence from France. How do you think Jefferson felt ab
jasenka [17]

I would say that President Thomas Jefferson would have desired the revolution to fail. On the one had, Saint Domingue independence from France was good news, for it debilitated the French. But on the other hand, the triumph of a slave revolution in the West Indies would set a dangerous precedent and could influence further slave revolts in the USA.

Jefferson - who was a slave owner himself - refused to recognize the negro government, rejecting diplomatic relations and even imposed an economic embargo on Saint Domingue in order to make the negro nation fail. Also, he had to face southern slave-holders reaction against the Saint Domingue in fear of similar outbreaks. Previous incidents like the Gabriel slave conspiracy in 1802 fueled this fear.

In the New Jersey Plan, the number of legislators in the<br> house would be determined by what?
mash [69]

Answer:

Each state would get one vote in Congress

Explanation:

The plan argued for increasing the power of the federal government to correct problems with the Articles of Confederation, but maintaining the single house of Congress which existed under the Articles of Confederation.

In Paterson's plan, each state would get one vote in Congress, so there would be equal power divided among states regardless of population.

Paterson's plan had features beyond the apportionment argument, such as the creation of a Supreme Court and the right of the federal government to tax imports and regulate trade. But the greatest difference from the Virginia Plan was over the issue of apportionment: the allocating of legislative seats based on population.
