<span>The Yuan dynasty was a time of the Mongol Colonization that
had greatly influenced Chinese culture and traditions. During the Yuan dynasty,
Taoism suffered a significant setback when many copies of the Daozang were
ordered to be burned. A form of internal alchemy called Neidan became a major
religious sect in the Chinese tradition because of the colonization of the
Mongols. Kublai Khan ended the Imperial Examination System because he believed
that Confucian learning is no longer necessary for government jobs. The Mongol
Empire established itself and imposed its rules in China which suppressed some
of Chines practices and culture.</span>
The Progressive Era took place in the US from the 1890s to the 1920s. The movement was an effort to reform the government and eliminate the corruption within it. Social activists also wanted to reform the educational system, the insurance industry, the churches, and many other things they felt were out of control, and not working in the best interests of the citizens.
There were only 23 letters in the Latin alphabet, while the modern English alphabet has 26. Also, there were no lowercase letters in the Latin alphabet.
