List the order the steps of the path of blood through the kidneys.
Alexxandr [17]

Blood flows to the kidneys through the right and left renal arteries. Inside each kidney these branch into smaller arterioles.

The blood is at very high pressure and flows through the arterioles into tiny knot of vessels called the Glomerulus. These are located in the nephrons.

From the glomerulus the blood pressure drops and the blood flows into arterioles which coil around the nephrons. These in turn connect to a series of small veins. These vessels reunite and ultimately form the renal vein.

About one quarter of the total cardiac output (or total blood flow) circulates through the kidneys. This equates to just over 1 litre of blood every minute.

Hope this helps (:

5. Why do cells need facilitated diffusion?
marusya05 [52]

It is transported against the concentration gradient by a dependent glucose symporter which provides a driving force to other glucose molecules in the cells. Facilitated diffusion helps in the release of accumulated glucose into the extracellular space adjacent to the blood capillary.

In what way could the realized niche be regarded as flexible
Roman55 [17]

Answer: Because it can change size based on the needs.

Explanation:

The term niche defines an organism´s role in an ecosystem and it also encompass what the organism eat or how it interacts with nonliving elements of the environent.

The realized niche could be regarded as flexible because it is able to change its size based on what it needs. For example, it could increases or decreases its size in competition between resources with other species since they are part of the same ecosystem.
