Y=mx+b
m=slope
b=y intercept, aka where the line crosses the y axis or where x=0

we can find the y axis by looking
it crosses the y axis at 4 units up
so
b=4
y=mx+4
we also se another point
(-5,0)
when x=-5, y=0
0=m(-5)+4
solve for m
0=m(-5)+4
subtract 4
-4=m(-5)
divide both sides by -5
-4/-5=4/5=m

equaiton is
y=4/5x+4
y=0.8x+4

What is the quotient of 3.12 x 108 and 2.6 x 105 expressed in scientific notation?
Gnoma [55]

Answer:

1.2 * 10^3

Step-by-step explanation:

3.12 * 10^8

=========

2.6 * 10^5

Start by doing 3.12 / 1.6 = 1.2 and that is the correct number of sig digs.

Now get the power on the 10. When dividing, the powers subtract.

10^(8 - 5)

10^ 3

The answer is 1.2 * 10^3

FIND THE UNIT RATE AND ROUND TO THE NEAREST HUNDREDTHS IF NECESSARY. Jasigreen's class opened last year and serviced 6,840 custo
Vladimir [108]
6840 customers ... 45 days
x customers = ? ... 1 day

If you would like to know how many customers were in Jasigreen's class in 1 day, you can calculate this using the following steps:

6840 * 1 = 45 * x
6840 = 45 * x     /45
x = 6840 / 45
x = 152 customers

The correct result would be 152 customers.

Please could someone explain how to do question 2)a) (ii)
KonstantinChe [14]

Answer:

15 kilometres

Step-by-step explanation:

Based on the wording of your question, I am assuming you already know that Paul ran 250 metres every 1 minute, and that the ratio is 250:1. To get the second part of the answer, convert metres to kilometres. 0.001*250= 0.25. Paul ran 0.25 kilometres per minute. The ratio of kilometres per minute is 0.25:1. Next, convert minutes to hours. Multiply the entire ratio by 60, as there are 60 minutes in an hour. The ratio of kilometeres per minute is 15:60, and the ratio of kilometres per hour is 15:1, meaning Paul ran 15 kilometres in one hour.

I don’t understand how to solve it
kykrilka [37]

Answer:

x= $878.85

Step-by-step explanation:

1349.99=1350

1350=100% you cross multiply and then divide by 100 you get x = 540

  x   =40%

504 is how much can be off the original price, 1350-504=810

You would pay 810 dollars if the coupon was 40% off. Now we gotta find how much is the tax rate.

810=100% do the cross multiply and then divide by a 100, you get x=68.85

x   =8.5

Then you have to add your tax rate to the price that you are paying, 810+68.85=$878.85.

Hope this helps you!
