Serga [27]
1: Bonhomme, the mascot, wears the arrowed belt (called a voyager sash in English) as an homage to the fur traders in early Canadian history; the belt kept the wind off of them by keeping their jackets tied shut. They were also used as back braces while carrying their canoes, which is also why canoe races are held during the carnival. The carnival started as a celebration before Lent but has now morphed into a general celebration of winter and Canada.

2: At a child baptism in France, usually only the parents and Godparents give gifts to the child, so that's not something the neighborhood kids do. Everything else is true.

Of the following, which was a direct result of the Dahlonega Gold Rush?
hram777 [196]

The direct result of the Dahlonega Gold Rush was the arrival of settlers prompting the removal of Cherokee and Creek Indians from Georgia.

What is the gold rush?

The gold rush is a term that refers to the consequences of the discovery of a gold mine in the United States. In general, the gold rush occurred in different parts of the United States during the 19th and 20th centuries, with settlers migrating to places where there were gold mines to earn a profit from the sale of gold extracted from the land. .

What Caused the Dahlonega Gold Rush?

The Dahlonega Gold Rush is the name given to the subsequent discovery of gold mining in the Dahlonega, Georgia region. Typically, once these gold mines were discovered, the Cherokee and Creek Indians were evicted because the deposits were on Indian land.

This massive displacement contributed to the exile of the indigenous people to the western part of the country and is related to the events known as the trail of tears. Based on the foregoing, it can be inferred that the main cause of the Georgia gold rush was the displacement of indigenous people due to the arrival of settlers in the area.

I haven’t a clue how to do this
Elenna [48]

Answer:

Select five of the locations listed in directions, research them briefly, state their significance.

Once you have done this, look up their relative locations/metro stops to describe the journey from one place to the next.

Explanation:

All seem to be quite famous locations- pick 5 easiest to research or if some are featured in your textbook (if you are using one, I assume this is for class).

Hello! So I was wondering for French, why do we use the feminine and masculine pronouns and nouns? Aren't they just the same thi
Kaylis [27]

Answer:

Well I know, Generally, masculine nouns could ends with “o”, “us” and “son” in languages, and feminine ends with “a”. This happens with languages derived from Italic indo-european language family such as spanish, portuguese and italian.

But I'm not sure if it is the same with French.
