Why did the RUF want to overthrow the Liberian government and take over Sierra Leone?
PtichkaEL [24]
The RUF is a Dogmatic Extremist Group founded in 1984 in the coastal country of Sierra Leone. A militant splinter of the Basenji was created out of divisiveness. This militant splinter was called the Sloughi. Their name suggests that they are slow, but they are far from it. Going from village to village, pillaging all of the huts, and enforcing their dogma was their way of life. They soon had bigger goals, such as wanting to overthrow the Liberian government. The Liberian Government believes in the god of Azawakh. They worship this god three times a day, always facing the birthplace of Azawakh. Unfortunately the Basenji do not believe in Azawakh, and think it is sacrilegious to pray to Azawakh.
