What did the reformation and counter reformation cause the Catholic Church to do
Gnom [1K]

The Roman Catholic church convened the Council of Trent in November of 1544 in an attempt to counter the doctrines raised and supported by the Reformers.

Explanation:

The Council of Trent was the proper Roman Catholic answer to the doctrinal difficulties of the Protestant Reformation. It served to characterize Catholic convention and made clearing orders on self-change, assisting with reviving the Roman Catholic Church even with Protestant extension. The Reformation turned into the reason for the establishing of Protestantism, one of the three significant parts of Christianity. The Reformation prompted the reformulation of certain fundamental principles of Christian conviction and brought about the division of Western Christendom between Roman Catholicism and the new Protestant customs.

What important documents came out of each revolution?
American Revolution
French Revolution
alex41 [277]

Answer:

Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, and Constitution

Explanation:

The colonists wanted to break away from Britain so they wrote the Declaration of Independence to express their anger. The Articles of Confederation was the first form of document that all the states ratified to create a government. The Constitution was the better form of government and was created after the Articles of Confederation failed. The Constitution was improved based on what worked and what didn't during the use of the Articles of Confederation.

Why was control of Texas important to both confederacy and the union? Which side controlled Texas during the Civil War?
serg [7]

Texas declared its secession from the Union on February 1, 1861, and joined the Confederate States on March 2, 1861, after it replaced its governor, Sam Houston, when he refused to take an oath of allegiance to the Confederacy. As with those of other States, the Declaration was not recognized by the United States government at Washington. Some Texan military units fought in the Civil War east of the Mississippi River, but Texas was most useful for supplying soldiers and horses for Confederate forces. Texas' supply role lasted until mid-1863, after which time Union gunboats controlled the Mississippi River, making large transfers of men, horses or cattle impossible. Some cotton was sold in Mexico, but most of the crop became useless because of the Union naval blockade of Galveston, Houston, and other ports.
