Why does analyzing character motivation matter? Give an example using something that you’ve seen or read recently. in the Short

Analyzing character motivation matters because it goes deeper into the thoughts and feelings of a character in a story or movie. It is more relevant to know what led up to a character doing something than just knowing a character did something. For example I think of the movie Lizzie McGuire with actress Hillary Duff, which was a Disney channel show. Lizzie McGuire as the main character of the show was always seen talking behind the main scenes of the show to say things that was going on in her head. Things she may not have always said to others . You may want to look this up on YouTube or Google to get a better visual.

Character motivation shows the reaction of the characters in certain conflicts and in situation against them. While reading the story, the reader calculates the possible resolutions. In the short story of "Bet", the banker asks questions from himself, namely he self-judges himself. His thoughts on the issue make the reader learn more about him and certainly understand his motives. When he thinks that "On my part, it was the caprice of a well-fed man", it reveals his motivation for the bet. It was aimed for the purpose of entertainment.

How is the experience of listening to the poem "How Do I Love Thee" being read aloud different from the experience of reading it
Troyanec [42]

Answer:

Told and Telling

Explanation:

The poem is a romantic tale of a lover expressing her love for the beloved who dwells in her memory and keeps her heart burning for the unending love. Listening to this poem out loud, one gets the feeling to be the beloved for whom these beautiful words came together to express the love.  While reading the poem in silent, one feels as if he/she is the writer and composer of such words remembering the beloved.

Thus, the difference is of telling, when reading the poem alone, and being told, when one hears it from someone else.

Describe how setting contridutes to the plot in the crucible
FromTheMoon [43]
Settings in The Crucible include Betty's room, Proctors living room and kitchen, the town jail, and courtroom. These settings create a depressing atmosphere because of how small and intense each room is. Even the scenes outdoors are depressing, scary, mysterious, and may seem dangerous.
