The Articles of Confederation were replaced by the US Constitution because the federal government had almost no power. Since the federal government had almost no power, very few new laws were passed and the US could not raise a strong army to put down Shay's Rebellion.
When creating the Articles of Confederation, framers feared giving the central (aka federal) government too much power. This was based on America's experience with a "tyrannical" central government when they were under British rule. This is why the Articles of Confederation does not give the federal government the right to tax and needs 13 out of 13 states in order to add an amendment.
With the Arms and Space Races becoming increasingly important, Kennedy knew he needed to crush communism as well, to show the Soviets that it was unacceptable for their govt. to spread.
During WWI about 21 million people were wounded.

<span>The leader of the SNCC, who promoted the idea of Black Power is Stockely Carmichael. In 1964, Carmichael turned into a full-time field coordinator for SNCC in Mississippi. He took a shot at the Greenwood voting rights extend under Robert Parris Moses. All through Freedom Summer, he worked with grassroots African-American activists, including Fannie Lou Hamer, whom Carmichael named as one of his own legends.</span>
The NAACP reacted to the blaxplotation films by condemning the films’ portrayal of African Americans. Other groups that came out against the films were the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC). Those three groups formed the Coalition Against Blaxploitation (CAB) in 1972 aimed at effecting positive change regarding the roles of African Americans in films.
