The correct answer is C) The population will have many more women than men.

Based on this population pyramid, the statement that best characterizes Australia's projected population for the year 2050 is "The population will have many more women than men."

When we use a population pyramid or the age-gender pyramid, we are trying to project a scenario about the number of people that are supposed to live in the future. This is the case of the Australian population pyramid of 2050.

Australian sociologists and researchers consider that taking into consideration the growing ratio in the country, by 2050 they are expecting to grow from 23 million to 37 million. The two biggest cities, Sydney and Melbourne are expected to reach 8 million each.

Describe how heatwaves can bring both positive and negative consequences
bagirrra123 [75]

Answer:

Positives -

- There becomes a higher consumption of certain foods and drinks (a boom-time for ice-cream and cold drinks)

- Domestic tourism is having a boon with "stay-cations"

- Measured industrial output rises, hence GDP rises, because of increased use of electricity

Negatives -

- Heatwaves can cause a surge of dry weather. This could lead to Droughts and could have a negative impact on locals. Crops for farmers could dry out, and there could become a lack of vegetation (for animals too).

- Higher death rate for people with certain conditions (e.g. more heart attacks, especially among-st elderly people)

- Reduced numbers for certain forms of entertainment (ie cinema etc)

Why is eliminating child labor problematic?
DaniilM [7]
Eliminating child labor is problematic (in third world countries) because of outsourcing. We have our products made in foreign countries with no child labor laws because it's cheaper. We eliminate child labor, the price of production goes up and bushiness have to charge more to cover the costs, hiking the prices to consumers in our economy. Therefore, big companies don't really want child labor to be eliminated. A lot more could be done about it, but many people choose not to help for their own personal gain.
