Help me pleaseeeeeee
iogann1982 [59]
You start by finding two points on the line. In this case, (-4,1) and (-2,2) will do.

To get from (-4,1) to (-2,2), you need to go “up 1, right 2” which gives you a slope of m = 1/2

Next you need the b-value, which comes from the y-intercept of (0,3). The b-value is 3.

Putting the slope and b-value into y=mx+b, you have y = 1/2 x + 3.

A movie complex is showing the same movie and three theaters in theater and a 60 of the 80 seats are taken and theater B 42 seat
Anna [14]

Answer:

Theatre C.

Step-by-step explanation:

Theatre A:

60 of the 80 seats are taken.

% seats taken = seats taken/total seats * 100

= 60/80 * 100

= 75%

Theatre B:

Total seats = number of seats taken + number of empty seats

= 42 + 18

= 60

% seats taken = seats taken/total seats * 100

= 42/60 * 100

= 70%

Theatre C:

Total seats = number of seats taken + number of empty seats

90 = X + 18

X = 72

% seats taken = seats taken/total seats * 100

= 72/90 * 100

= 80%

Theatre C with 80% of seats taken.

Which of the fractions shown has the greatest value?
kobusy [5.1K]
Greetings!

The best way to compare fractions is to find the LCM (The Lowest Common Denominator) of each of the fractions. This can be done simply by listing the multiples of the denominators.

Multiples:
3: 3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27...210,213
10:10,20,30,40,60,70,80...210,220
6: 6,12,18,24,30,36,42,48...210,216
7: 7,14,21,28,35,42,49...210,217

The LCM is 210:
3*70=210
10*21=210
6*35=210
7*30=210

Now, we must do what we do the denominators to the numerators:
1*70=70
70/210
2*21=42
42/210
1*35=35
=35/210
2*30=60
=60/210

The fraction with the largest numerator has the greatest value; In this case it 1/3 or 70/210.

Hope this helps.
